This project is a first-of-a-kind project for the procurement and construction of street entry canopies for BART stations. It is serving as a pilot program for the first 2 of 24 canopies to be installed and is being planned and designed by BART in coordination with the City and County of San Francisco.  The project is located in an intense operating environment in two adjacent downtown San Francisco BART stations. It involves furnishing and installing two new street-level canopies and associated structural components with architectural finishes, glass enclosures, coiling grilles and new lighting systems.

Services Provided: The Allen Group is providing construction management services, including a Resident Engineer and a Field Engineer who are overseeing the project's day-to-day operations in all phases of construction, through final project closeout and occupancy. The RE is working with BART project management staff to provide design management, and construction management and administration. Those services include: effective project communications, record keeping, meeting coordination, document control, and thorough cost management and scheduling oversight.
