Oakland International Airport Roadway

This project consisted of roadway improvements between the Oakland International Airport and Interstate 880. It included construction of three new automobile bridges, an airport taxiway bridge, and under-crossings beneath the taxiway – all while maintaining vehicle and aircraft traffic flow to ensure that operations at the airport and connecting roadways were not adversely impacted. Work also included relocation, construction, and installation of new underground utilities and overhead facilities.

Services Provided: The Allen Group’s construction management responsibilities included: scheduling and cost control; coordinating traffic control; maintaining security; utilities relocation and construction; project controls; community outreach and public relations; contract compliance; inspection; monitoring safety measures; quality assurance; ensuring completion of punchlists; change management, and claims analysis and negotiation; and project closeout.
