Project Description: The $99.2M Milwaukee Streetcar Project is an initial 2-mile starter streetcar system that connects the Milwaukee Intermodal Station and Downtown to the Lower East Side and Historic Third Ward neighborhoods. The second phase of the work includes a 0.7-mile Lakefront Extension, which has a capital budget of $28.4M and is funded by a TIGER 7 Grant. The initial system will have four vehicles powered by an overhead electric contact system, and 18 station stops, and includes construction of an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) facility.
Services Provided: The PMOP JV is providing a variety of services, including:
- Ensuring the project follows the grant agreement terms and conditions
- Conducting quarterly meetings
- Communicating with the project team to gain insight into the current project status and reporting findings
- Developing Implementation Plans and fulfilling Operating Procedure (OP) requirements
- Reviewing Project Management Plans
- Reviewing RFQs/RFPs for the Owner’s Representative
- Final Design services
- Organizing and facilitating risk reviews and workshops
- Preparing Readiness-to-Bid Construction reports
- Developing a ‘Roadmap to Certification’ tool
- Providing guidance on civil site design and construction activities for the O&M and track slab
