The Communications Center provides 24-hour service to all emergency and non-emergency police, fire, and medical calls. This consolidated facility was built to house city agencies, including: the 911 Call Center; police, fire, and emergency medical services dispatch; and an Emergency Communications Center. The two-story, base-isolated, steel-braced-frame structure is designed to remain fully elastic and undamaged during a major seismic event. The building contains 155,000 square feet of office space and a partially underground reinforced-concrete garage.

Services Provided: The Allen Group was responsible for construction management oversight, including: scheduling; establishing project controls and procedures; maintaining project records; monitoring construction progress and schedules; evaluating and negotiating change orders; quality control/quality assurance; monitoring safety programs; preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports; ensuring punchlist verification and final acceptance of reviews; and completing project closeout.
