This project consisted of modernizing four (4) traction elevators located in the BART Pleasant Hill Station Parking Structure. The scope of work included replacing the existing elevator controllers, tape selector landing system, governor, switches, hoist ropes and rope gripper, traveling cables, motor, fixtures, door hardware, and all electrical wiring. All four elevators passed State Inspection.

Services Provided: The Allen Group provided construction management services, including a Resident Engineer and Inspector who oversaw the project’s day-to-day operations in all phases of construction, through final project closeout and occupancy. The RE worked with BART project management staff to provide design management, and construction management and administration. Those services included: effective project communications, record keeping, meeting coordination, document control, thorough cost and quality management, and scheduling oversight.
