This project consisted of replacing the existing natural gas line servicing the Hayward Maintenance Complex, specifically the Training center, Service and inspection Building, Traction Motor Repair Facility, Car Cleaner’s Building, and the Main Repair Shop. The project required working within highly active areas critical to BART operation.

Services Provided: The Allen Group provided construction management services, including a Resident Engineer who oversaw the project’s day-to-day operations in all phases of construction, through final project closeout and occupancy. The RE worked with BART project management staff to provide design management, and construction management and administration. Those services included: effective project communications, record keeping, meeting coordination, document control, thorough cost and quality management, and scheduling oversight.
