This project involves the procurement and construction of up to 22 BART station street entry canopies over the subway entrances of four downtown San Francisco stations. The project sites are located on the street-level in intense operating environments and require coordination with the City, Muni, businesses and other key stakeholders. Construction includes furnishing and installing structural components, architectural decorative metal, FRP ceilings with custom artwork, glass enclosures, CCTV, coiling grilles, and new lighting systems.

Services Provided: The Allen Group provides construction management services, including a Resident Engineer, Assistant Resident Engineer, Field Engineer, document control, and inspectors who oversee the project’s day-to-day operations in all phases of construction, through final project closeout and occupancy. The RE works with BART project management staff to provide design management, and construction management and administration. Those services included: effective project communications, record keeping, meeting coordination, document control, and thorough cost and quality management, and scheduling oversight.
