This is one of the final projects in the BART Earthquake Safety Program (ESP). It involves retrofits to the Bay Fair Station and the Ashland Avenue Underpass aerial structure, including the retrofit of structural concrete bents, columns, and pile caps, as well as utility protection and relocation. Work is taking place within the BART operating environment and patron areas and requires extensive coordination with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including utility companies, other transit agencies, and the local community.
